Webinar: Designing and Analyzing High Frequency Interconnects
March 22, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Instructor: Zachariah Peterson, Northwest Engineering Solutions
High-frequency PCB designs carry a unique set of challenges due to the concentration of signal power in a narrow bandwidth. To design high-frequency interconnects, designers must consider an entire interconnect, including its linearity and stability.
This course focuses on an approach to designing high-frequency interconnects, beginning with PCB design and leading into systems-level RF design.
Topics to be covered:
• transmission line design
• network parameter analysis including S-parameters,
• interconnect characterization
• parasitics and their effects on signal integrity
• advanced topics like waveguides and emitters
Design examples involving unique waveguide and cavity structures on high-frequency PCBs will be presented. By the end of the course, attendees will have received conceptual guidance on interconnect design and analysis for any frequency range.
This seminar is not commercial and will not promote any specific brand of ECAD software.
Who should attend?
PCB Designer/Design Engineer, System Designer, SI Engineer, Test Engineer. It is designed for all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced
This webinar is sponsored by PCB East (www.pcbeast.com), The Original Conference and Exhibition for Printed Circuit Board Design, Fabrication and Assembly on the East Coast. Coming in April to Marlborough, MA.
